




Prokop Kondratiuk died on September 27, 1920. His will named his son Simeon Kondratiuk as sole heir and executor. On November 3, 1920 Simeon Kondratiuk applied to the Surrogate Court of Winnipeg to probate the will and appoint Simeon as executor. The court application consisted of five documents:
- Application for Probate stating that Prokop had died, had left a will, had named Simeon as Executor and that the estate was valued at $1,200
- Affidvavit of Death swearing to Prokop’s date and place of death and place of abode
- Affidavit of Value of Property swearing to the value of the estate and providing particulars of the property at 669 Boyd Avenue
- Affidavit of Execution of Will (with an annotated copy of the will attached) in which Peter Ruta, who witnessed the will, swears to its validity and swears that Prokop was “of perfect mind, memory, and understanding”
- Oath of Executor in which Simeon swears to faithfully adminster Prokop’s estate and effects
On November 8, 1920 the Surrogate Court of the Eastern Judicial District of Manitoba granted probate.
