Our goal is to expand the site to include information on the ancestors of Prokop Kondratiuk and Anna Schul if and when it becomes available. The Kondratiuk family originated in Galicia and emigrated to Canada in 1906, settling in North End Winnipeg. Prokop, who had been a farm worker in Galicia, found work as a labourer for the City of Winnipeg. Ann Kondratiuk was born in Winnipeg a few months after their arrival. Anna Schul died in 1909 and soon afterwards Prokop married Julia Macuira who became a mother to Pauline, Sam and Ann. Both Anastazia and Pauline initially settled in Winnipeg and later moved to Toronto. Sam Kondratiuk died a bachelor in 1924. Ann settled in Chicago where she met and married Nils Alvar Granberg.
